Capital One Arena, Washington D.C., November 20 – Even a dysfunctional team sometimes get a win, and this was the case with the Wizards, after the rumor that the entire squad is on the trading block they managed to win a game against the on-form Clippers and they did it in style as they overcame a massive deficit.
The game started with the Clippers dominating the first quarter by scoring a mind-blowing 40 points and only conceding 21, and on the 2nd quarter they even managed to increase the lead to 24 points, but they went to the halftime break with a 19-point lead. The Wizards comeback started on the 3rt quarter as they outscored the visitors 32 to 22 to cut the lead to just 9 points to end the period.
The 4th quarter was completely dominated by the hosts as they obliterated Clippers on both ends of the floor by managing to score 39 points and only concede 23. The final score of the game was 118-125 as Wizards get a sorely-needed win.
John Wall had 30 points and also added 4 rebounds and 8 assists, while Bradley Beal was also quite helpful for the team as he scored 27 points and had 3 rebounds and 7 assists. For the Clippers, Tobias Harris had 29 points and 9 rebounds, he also got some valuable help from Montrezl Harrell who had 20 points and 9 rebounds.
Wizards will be playing away against the New York Kincks on Friday, while Clippers will be hosting Memphis Grizzlies also on Friday.
