Pete Lau’s recent teaser stating that the company is working on its flagship phone for 2017, OnePlus 5 has been rumored name of the upcoming device, which is going to be launch in this summer. The successor had been rumored to bring 8GB of RAM, dual-camera setup and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. It was just an assumption that the company does not follow the series over the naming the upcoming flagship OnePlus 4 as the number 4 is considered unlucky in China. The company stated that naming didn’t factor but was motivated by the five number jersey of former NBA player Robert Horry.
According to the rumors, the OnePlus 5 is expected specifications including Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835. It is come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, although there is also a possibility for a 256GB with 8GB of RAM configuration. The rumors also stated that the upcoming phone has two rear cameras. OnePlus has made itself with well-made, high-performing phones that sell for significantly less than competing flagships from Google, Samsung, and Apple. The OnePlus 3 and 3T turned to be some of the best phones released last year, and if the OnePlus 5 continues this trend, it should be an exciting device for a smartphone.
