Mercedes-Benz has launched the S-Class facelift in India and it’ prices starts at 1 crore 33 lakhs rupees. The latest model available in petrol as well as diesel variants and gets new ranges of 6-cylinder engines.
The S-Class is the first car which is BS six complaints and comes with the new headlamps and tail lamps along with new front and rear bumpers. The S-Class facelift rivals are BMW 7 series, Audi A8, Jaguar XJ and so on.
Mercedes-Benz re-engineered the BS VI engines to run on BS IV fuel that involves significant investment part of the company. The car gets most powerful engine produced by the company. The company planning to democratize its diesel product line up with BS VI engine ahead of the schedule with new products in the future.
Managing Director at Mercedes-Benz India, Roland Folger said, “The new S Class is not just intelligent but a responsible luxury. After launching India’s BS VI car the Mercedes-Benz’s team set a benchmark among all car manufacturers to support the Government in mitigating the rising pollution levels in the country”. Further, he added, “The new S-Class brings technology, comfort zone, luxuries design to meet high-class standards as well as perfections for a vehicle of this class”.
The S-Class was the second model to be produced after E Class in 2000 in India. The latest car model has been sold globally and 3 lakh of new generation W222 version. The other features of new Mercedes-Benz S-Class include raft of changes internally as well as externally, aiming to reinforce its status as the benchmark among all flagship saloons.
