A global manufacturing company, Bajaj has exposed its upcoming avenger series motorcycle called ‘Avenger 180′ in India and has priced it at 83,475. Bajaj’s Avenger 180 replaces the Avenger 150 and its new design upgrades include LED DRL’s, new graphics and more.
It is powered by 180cc engine churning out 15.3 bhp and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. Bajaj Auto will hope to take the fight straight to the Suzuki Intruder 150 and claim market share in the 150 to 200 cc entry-level cruiser segment.
The 180 gets an analog unit instead of the digital instrument cluster seen on the updated Avenger 220s. The 180 sticks to the blacked-out theme and features alloy wheels, a smaller cowl that sits neatly atop its new headlight as well as a new grab rail.
Avenger 180 gets the same 260mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake but at the same, it misses out on ABS. It uses the same telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers and it is available in two colors Ebony Black and Spicy Red. The company has rebuffed to reveal details on the origins of this motor.
President at Bajaj Auto, Eric Vas said, “Bajaj Auto believes in evolving and pushing the envelope. Avenger Street 180 provides contemporary styling with enhanced power whilst retaining its classical roadster design.”
